Questions people ask

Do I need to have a domain or hosting already?

No. We’ll find and register your domain for you, in your name. Renewals are covered as long as your hosting is active.

I already have a website. Can you work with it?

Yes. We’ll move your existing site and domain over and rebuild it, whether it’s on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or something else.

Can you build on Wix or Squarespace?

We build on WordPress. Wix and Squarespace are fine, but you can only do the things they let you do. WordPress is open source, which means we can customize it to fit what you need, and we can host and manage it all in one place. If you’re on Wix now, we’re happy to move you.

I’m not sure what to put on my site. Will you help me figure that out?

Yes, that’s a big part of what we do. You’ll fill out a detailed survey about your goals, your work and the style you like, and then we’ll get on a call to work out the plan together. We write the copy too.

How do I make changes after it launches?

You’ll get a tutorial video that shows you how to change the text on your site yourself. Hosting includes basic software updates and keeping your site running. Bigger design changes down the road are extra, at a reasonable rate.

Do I have to blog or post all the time?

No. Your site can simply be a good home for you and your work. If you want a blog, we’ll set one up, but you never have to post if you don’t want to.

What does it cost in total?

$3,000, paid once. Then $20 a month for hosting, starting when your site launches. Your domain is included.

Can I take payments or sell things on my site?

Yes. Basic ecommerce can be part of your site, or we can link to a store or payment page you already use, like Square or PayPal.

Can I have more than one site?

Yes. Each site gets its own survey and its own plan, and each one is priced on its own.
